History and Condition of the Existing Campus
Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University (UIN) Malang is a state Islamic religious university under the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. The history of this institution began with the establishment of the Tarbiyah Faculty of IAIN Sunan Ampel Malang Branch in 1961.
In line with the dynamics of higher education needs and scientific development, this institution underwent several stages of institutional transformation until it was officially changed to Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University Malang in 2004.
Structure of Existing Campus 1 Area and Buildings
Physically, Campus 1 of UIN Malang consists of various main buildings that support academic, administrative, student, and religious activities. These buildings include:

Rectorate Building
Serves as the university's administrative and management centre, comprising the university leadership offices and strategic units. -
Central Library Building
It is a centre for learning and research for the academic community, with a collection of printed and digital literature, as well as reading and discussion facilities. . -
Faculty Building
Lecture buildings and faculty administration buildings that serve as the centre of academic activities for each discipline . -
Campus Mosque
It serves as a centre for worship and spiritual guidance, as well as an important element in the spatial structure of the campus that reflects the Islamic identity of UIN Malang. . -
Language Centre Building
Supporting the development of foreign language and Arabic language skills as part of an integrated curriculum. -
Laboratory Building and Shared Lecture Rooms
Used for practical activities, research, and cross-faculty lectures. -
Student Services and Student Affairs Building
Accommodating units of academic services, student administration, and student organization activities. -
Other Supporting Facilities
Including the campus polyclinic, cafeteria, parking area, and green open spaces that serve as social interaction areas and support the green campus concept.
